In a distant land of the northern seas, Sedna, the little sea otter, spends her days playing, fishing, diving with her companions, and savoring the sorbets of Kuak, a particularly chilly penguin ice cream vendor. Perfectly adapted to her environment, Sedna has everything she needs for a happy life as a cheerful little otter. But Sedna dreams of distant journeys… On this particular day, just like every year, she eagerly awaits the return of Toklo, a flamboyant and boastful cormorant, who is coming back from his long migration south. Sedna can’t wait to hear the fantastic stories of this intrepid adventurer. And once again, Toklo captivates the little otter with tales of the lakes and rivers he has flown over, the vast oceans he has crossed, and the storms he has braved.
That’s it! She, too, will become a traveler! But poor Sedna is met with Toklo’s well-meaning yet slightly condescending skepticism. She is a creature of habit. Traveling is not for her. Adventure belongs to adventurers.
And yet, that night, thanks to H2O, Sedna embarks on an extraordinary journey to discover the water cycle on Earth. With newfound confidence and knowledge, she will convince Toklo to join her the following night. And this time, their adventure will take them even farther, on a wondrous journey to explore the traces of water throughout the solar system.
A marvelous and thrilling adventure that reminds us of one simple truth: the first door we must open to understand the universe is curiosity!
